VINTON:  Richard Dean Fisher, age 78, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Bear Creek Cemetery rural Vinton.  Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 pm on Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6 ^th Street) in Vinton.  A memorial fund has been established.

Richard was born on January 3, 1940, the son of Charles and Nellie (Phelps) Fisher.  Richard worked as a farm hand and enjoyed mowing yards for neighbors and friends.  He was also an accomplished woodworker.  Richard loved music and enjoyed playing the accordion.  He was also an avid fisherman.

Richard is survived by many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
