SHELLSBURG: Ronald Alan Harris, 69, passed away at his home in Shellsburg on August 25, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Ronald was born on August 15, 1957 in Spencer, Iowa, to Lloyd and Violet (Smith) Harris. He graduated from Marion High School. Ronald was a Veteran of the United States Army and also worked as a Journeyman for JB Hunt. He loved woodworking, fabricating, and creating things as well as hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.

He is survived by his children, Dustin Harris and Stacey Harris; his grandchildren, Colin Harris, Alison Kerkman, and Benjamin Harris; his great-grandaughter, Izadora Kerkman; and his siblings, Roxanne Braden, Steve Harris, and Carey Dixon.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Violet; and his brother, Wayne Harris.
