Obituary

CENTER POINT:  Ronnie Dean Schoeberl, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his home in rural Center Point.

A celebration of Ronnies life will be held from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6 th Street) in Vinton.  Private family interment will be held at Urbana Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Ronnie was born June 28, 1969 in Cedar Falls, the son of Donovan and Nancy (Sherman) Schoeberl.  He attended Urbana High School.  Ronnie married Irene Koehler, and the couple later divorced.  Ronnie worked as a commercial truck driver for most of his life.  He dearly loved kayaking on the river.  Ronnie enjoyed collecting toys and spoiling his great nieces and nephews.  He spent a lot of time on Tik Tok entertaining the kids.  Ronnie was known as a truly giving person with a heart of gold.

He is survived by his sons, Jacob Schoeberl of Center Point, Jared Schoeberl of Cedar Rapids; sister Donna (Myland) Hepker of Rowley; sister-in-law Cathy Schoeberl of Center Point; step-sister, Donella (Larry) Kuhn of Vinton; step-brother, Dwain (Daena) Peterman of Ottumwa; and many special nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Phillip "Skip" Schoeberl; and his niece Pamela Schoeberl.
