VAN HORNE: Rosalie Ann (Gulstorf) Glime, passed away on September 23, 2026, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center, with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 5, 2026 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton. Interment will be held at Urbana Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 PM, Sunday, also at the funeral home.

Born January 30, 1938, Rosalie was the daughter of Bernard and Mabel (Wenzel) Gulstorf. She graduated from Van Horne High School with the class of 1956. She married Robert Engelking and the couple later divorced. On August 21, 1982, she was united in marriage to Robert Glime. Robert preceded Rosalie in death in 1989.

Rosalie retired from Amana Refrigeration after 25 years of service. She also worked at the Keystone Nursing Care Center and did deliveries for Cornerstone Apothecary for a number of years.

Rosie was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Fan and especially enjoyed following Caitlin Clark’s career. She was fond of the goats on her farm, and loved to hunt mushrooms. Trips to Cass Lake in Minnesota were a family tradition when the kids were young, a tradition Rosie continued with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also made a few trips to the casino through the years for the penny slots.

She is survived by her children, Lenny (Brenda) Engelking of Keystone, Luann (Steve) Engbretson of Elberon; 13 grandchildren, Amanda Engelking, Jessica (Brian) Armstrong, Mindy (Brett) Waterbeck, Tyler (Dani Dunning) Papesh, Julia (Larry) Routt, Shane Vest, Bobby Glime, Blake (Kaylyn) Vest, John (Samantha) Engelking, Jared (Dakota) Engelking, Abby Price, Alyssa Price, Justin Engelking; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughters, Lori Vest, and Lisa Price; granddaughters, Anny Engelking, and Brittney Glime; and great-grandson, Henry Papesh.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Keystone Nursing Care Center, and Essence of Life Hospice for the care they provided. A special thanks to Kathy Gage for the care and compassion over the past few years, and a special thanks to Tracy Sieck for her care, dedication, and loving support, not only to Rosie, but the family also.
