BLAIRSTOWN:  Ryan Dale Lawing, 31, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his home in Blairstown.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown with Rev. Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Ryan was born on July 11, 1989 in Flagstaff, AZ, the son of Rodney Dale and Karen (Kolb) Lawing.  He graduated from Benton community High School with the class of 2008.

Ryan worked in manufacturing and enjoyed watching movies and video games.  He loved to spend time with his family.

He is survived by his mother Karen Kolb-Lawing of Blairstown; father Rod Lawing of Cedar Rapids; 2 brothers, Brady (Michelle) Lawing of Center Point, Keith (Brittany Smith) of Williamsburg; niece Paighton Smith; nephew Carson Lawing; paternal grandmother Nita Lawing of Sahuarita, AZ; maternal grandfather Jay Guthrie of Scottsdale, AZ; and his uncle Conrad Gonzalez of Tucson, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Billy Joe Lawing; maternal grandmother Shirley Guthrie; and maternal grandfather Walter Kolb.
