Keystone:  Sue Ann (Franzenburg) McDowell, age 80, died October 15, 2025 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida, with her family by her side.

The daughter of Art & Dorothy (Boehmke) Franzenburg, Sue was born July 9, 1945.

Sue was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading to children.  Her greatest joy came from gathering with family and friends.  When you became Sue's friend you were a friend for life.

Survivors include her son, Darren McDowell; daughter, Danya Karniski; 2 grandchildren, Jordan and Julia Karniski; sister, Kathryn (William Davis) Franzenburg; brothers, Sam (Kay Bone Franzenburg, Randy (Carol) Franzenburg; her parter for 32 years, Jimmy Schwartz; uncle, Bill Boehmke; aunt, Ruby Boehmke, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents Art & Dorothy Franzenburg .

A memorial service will be held 1:30 PM, Saturday, December 6, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone. Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery followed by a reception at the Main Street Bakery & Cafe (92 Main St, Keystone).
