Terry John Schmuecker, 57 passed away on June 5, 2024 at his home in Fairfax.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Catholic Church in Blairstown at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 11, 2024with Fr. Jacob Dunne officiating. Visitation will be held the night prior Monday, June 10, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM also at the church. A prayer service will take play at 3:30 PM on Monday, prior to the visitation. Burial will be held at St. Patrick and St. Paul Catholic Cemetery near Watkins. Reception will follow at the church.

Terry was on born February 15, 1967 to Dwayne and Adeline (Schulte) Schmuecker in Cedar Rapids, Iowa along with his twin brother Jerry. He attended Benton Community High School, graduating with the class of 1985.

He was united in marriage to Angie Kook. Terry was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Blairstown. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, barefoot water skiing, camping, deep sea fishing in Hawaii, and coaching wrestling. During his athletic career Terry was a 2X State Champion at Benton Community, following high school Terry attended the University of Maryville and Kirkwood Community College, where he wrestled to All-American status. He cherished his faith and his Lord and Savior. Terry loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Haley Schmuecker of Cedar Rapids, and Hannah Schmuecker of Cedar Rapids; mother, Adeline Schmuecker of Blairstown; brothers, Randy (Linda) Schmuecker of Blairstown, Rick (Kristie) Schmuecker of Amana, Dwayne Schmuecker Jr. of Fairfax, and Jerry Schmuecker of China, Indiana; sisters, Cindi (Duane) Andrew of Blairstown, Sandy (Larry) Kaiser of Van Horne, Sue (Allen) Ehrman of Blairstown, and Teresa (Eric) Hopton of Lake Helen, Florida; grandchildren, Lincoln, Asher, and Milena, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Dwayne, and his brother Mark (Beav) Schmuecker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
