GARRISON:  Waneta Mae Lint, age 90, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at her Garrison home with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April, 30, 2024 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Garrison, with Rev Adam Baumann officiating.  Interment will be held at the Garrison Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time at the church on Tuesday.

Waneta was born on October 4, 1933, in Vinton, the daughter of Ralph T. and Susan (Babcock) Smith.  On March 26, 1958, she was united in marriage to Edward "Dean" Lint at the parsonage in Garrison.

She was a faithful member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, and enjoyed the outdoors. Waneta loved tending to her flowers, fishing, lawn work and bird watching, especially the cardinals that visited her home. She was also a fabulous cook.  Her greatest joy was her family, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Mark Lint, Vicky Grimm, Diana (Timm) Haefner, Ronda Petersen, all of Garrison, and Brenda (Lenny) Engelking of Keystone; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; 1 brother Steve Amos; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dean in 2019; son Brad Lint; sons-in-law, Kim Grimm, and Doug Petersen; 4 grandchildren, Brittney Glime, Anny Engelking, Daniel Grimm, and Stephane Earle; 3 brothers, Marshall and Jack Amos, and Donald Smith; and her sister Joan Peek.
