CEDAR RAPIDS FORMERLY OF VINTON: Warren L. Hobbs, 88, passed away on Thursday, November 27th, 2025 at Hospice of Mercy in Hiawatha.

Private family services will be held.

Warren was born August 28th, 1937 in Lawrence, Kanses to Chester Hobbs and Elsie Smith. He graduated from Vinton High School in 1955. Warren married Karen Johnson on November 29th, 1963 in Nebraska. He worked as a welder and retired from Lattner Manufacturing in 2003.

Warren loved collecting antiques with his wife, Karen, over many years and he dearly loved his dog, Martha.

Warren is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughter Kristy Kramer, and son Douglas Lynn Hobbs; his grandsons Kevin Jenney and Michael Kramer; and his great-grandaughter Lilith Kramer.

Warren is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Gene Hobbs, Ray Hobbs, and Chester Hobbs; and his daughter Shelley (Jenney) Hobbs.
