VINTON: William D. Bullock, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 PM until 2:30 PM on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Maplewood Cemetery in Vinton.

William was born June 11, 1935 in El Dorado Springs, Missouri to Bill and Sylvia (Bright) Bullock. He graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1954. He was united in marriage to Minnie Holmes in Cedar Rapids. He worked at Warehousing for over 10 years and for Kinze Manufacturing

William was known as a jack of all trades. His hobbies included working on cars, remodeling houses, fixing pianos, and helping his uncle on the farm, studying on how to be an electrician, making homemade rugs, and reading his western books.

William is survived by his wife, Minnie Bullock of Vinton; children Rose (Leonard) Hlas of Belle Plaine, Cheri Reitsma of Vinton, and Linda Roggentien of Van Horne; Grandchildren Robert Harrelson of Belle Plaine, Christopher (Katie) Harrelson of Illinois, Tiffany Phillips of Belle Plaine, Richard Roggentien of Cedar Rapids, Aaron of Maine, Arice of Van Horne, Jeremiah Roggentien of Des Moine, Fred Williams of Van Horne, and Martha (Mark) Bowan of Cedar Rapids; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings John Bullock of Marion, and Faye Risner of Keystone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a great-granddaughter in infancy.
